Howard Stern has a Bacholor of Architecture degree from the New York Institute of Technology. He is a registered architect with 23 years of experience and has worked on many different types of building projects such as schools, churches, libraries, and restorations of historic buildings.
His interests lately have gone towards educating young people. Towards this end, for the last 8 years, he has been doing architectural residencies in schools for different not for profit organizations such as Henry Street Settlement, Queens Museum of Art, Learning By Design, which is a committee of the New York Foundation for Architecture an affiliate of the American Institute of Architects, Salvadori Center, Young Audiences, Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, and BOCES Talented and Gifted Program.
He has also led teacher workshops for Cooper Hewitt, Lincoln Center Institute, and the New York City Department of Education.
