Emily Waters

Emily Waters is a Graphic Designer, originally from Illinois, who received her BFA from the University of Illinois, and studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule (school of arts and crafts) in Basel, Switzerland. The Basel School of Design and its students have influenced the international Graphic Design community since the 1960's.

She has worked for prominent cultural institutions and organizations such as MOMA, the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum and the American Museum of the American Indian. Active in community organizations like StableBrooklyn and Gallop, she currently is focusing her practice on providing design services to non-profits like the Fortune Society, New York Academy of Science and the New York Institute for Special Education. Her teaching gives her students a basic graphic foundation so that they may use these elements to design their world.
